Here’s a trailer we did to showcase photorealistic shots …
Well, it’s been a very exciting & eventful year so far here at the Lux Visual Effects studio. Between all the staff there’s a total of three weddings & four babies! Crazy. Personal developments aside, there’s also a lot of constructive growth & change underway. Scott Parker is our new ‘go to’ Director of Sales & with that comes some beautiful new marketing & packaging collatoral which features a new “Lux logo”, business card brand, & motion graphics demo reel! It’s all in the works so stay tuned …
PS – Happy Autumn!
Most offspring connected with Lux VFX seem to have that childhood admiration for Johnny Cash. I would love to see that admiration for the Man in Black become the talent that this kid shows in emulating the king of twang. Have a look/listen!

Broken Social Scene
Bruce McDonald, of Hard Core Logo fame, is partnering up with musicians again. This time around, it’s those famous indie-kids from Toronto, Broken Social Scene. However, Bruce is asking for your help. Yes, the film will be entirely put together fan footage that can be uploaded at www.thismovieisbroken.com.
So, if you happen to be catching B.S.S. live this summer, which I highly recommend, be sure to bring any type of filming device you can think of.
this is apparently a trailer for a film festival. i just thought it was slick. plus i love tilt shift.
I know that most people have thought of it. “Why don’t we make a movie out of that boring social phenomenon known as facebook!”
Well, turns out that we were not the only ones thinking up such incredible ideas. Turns out there is an aggressive push to turn the “facebook phenomenon” into a film. The film would follow Mr. Zuckerman et. al. during the social network’s creation through the tumultuous dorm-days of the network’s inventor.
… sounds stimulating!
